Robert E Lee Elementary School Reviews

The teachers all seem great, very knowledgeable and creative. The students are well behaved and bright. There is a tremendous amount of potential here.

Robert E. Lee. This school has a lot of potential. Staff/teachers could be a little more friendly with parents and students. Parents and children should always be greeted upon arriving in the school. Some teachers need to take an extra step into the developing minds of the precious children here. There could be alot more parent involvement if we felt more welcome in the school. I can say this much the children are awesome and well behaved. I do wish neighborhood homeowners would consider this school a place to start their child/children's education. I think the school would benefit tremendously with more community and parent participation. I would also like to see more extracurricular activities offered here. Robert E. Lee does house some excellent teachers and staff.

Its amazing to see the new energy at Lee. Parent involvement is really taking off and the positive momentum is spreading throughout the staff and students. This a wonderful place to be a part.

Robert E Lee is an fabulous school. It is a gem right next to downtown Dallas. We transferred our child in from a five figure a year private school-the education is better, the parental involvement is growing by leaps and bounds, and the staff is the height of professionalism. I told someone recently at a Junior League meeting, 'Robert E Lee is the best thing that has ever happened to our family.' We are in the midst of a giant fundraising campaign for a $50k new playground/sport court. The class sizes are small, the teachers are experienced and the children are very well behaved. We are so glad that we gave public school a chance, and we will be at Lee for the long haul-we have two more kids to put through there. Walk the school, check it out-it really is a great place!

Absolutely love the school! Small classes and the children are happy. The art teacher is incredible! She also leads the choir. The trophies are on display in the libray. The librarian is very helpful and always has a smile! The PTA is finally picking up the pace. I have a kindergartener there this year and will have one there next year too! I just love Lee the place to be.

I love Robert E. Lee. Initially, I was concerned based upon other older reviews, but they were completely unfounded. I have been pleasantly surprised by the administration, teachers and the students. It is also small so the kids actually get a good amount of attention. It's almost like having a private school in the public school system. I am very active and would like to see other parents do more, from the PTA to volunteering. The school is a truly special place and I am glad to have my child and soon a second child attending for many years to come.

We Love Lee! I have 2 children that attend Lee and could not imagine a better place for them to be. I really feel like the entire faculty is dedicated to not only the education of our children but also in the building of their character. The classes are small so the students really get alot of individual instruction. Even though it is small there are still lots of educational activities going on. It also makes for more of a family atmosphere where we take care of each other even right in the heart of big D!

2nd Counser only 1 of them, need to stay off of personal calls and tend more time to 6grd hormanal change and guide them. She doesnt return call, doesn't keep parents posted on Application Deadline dates on the magnets schools availability for the new Yr. I receive my SchInfo when I went to the school. When learned only 24 hrs to decide and submit 2/application w/2 students profolios 1 for a 6 grader and for a 3rd grader. What a nightmare! Principal I guess she'll do, she manage to have the majoraty of the teachers in school, on time and all day unlike the prior principal. PTA needs improvement! Needs a nicer staff, just smile...

There is a new principal this year and she is a great leader! There were concerns at the beginning of the year with the change of principal, only because everyone was very pleased with the one we had. The staff and parents are very pleased with the new addition to our Robert E. Lee Family. She is truly an asset to our school. We have a wonderful school with lots of teacher and parent involvement. Great role models is what it takes to teach and train our children to become good, responsible citizens. Robert E.Lee is truly a school that has committed to let no child be left behind!

There is a new principal at this school, and it seems to have negatively affected the staff. Negative comments are made about the teaching staff, there is not a sense of unity, and the programs are suffering. They seem to be more concerned with the minutia than making the school a standout.

My son just started Pre-k I am not pleased to say this has been a rollercoster for us. I feel that the class is not keeping him focused. I admit I was disappointed in the way we have started my son's school year. I meet with the teacher every time that i feel there is a concern and go to every teacher conferences and meetings about the issues regarding my sons behavior. I dont feel the teacher gives her students her undivided attention. They don't greet parents or even the kids in the mornings.

My children have been at this school for three years, and we have been nothing but pleased with the faculty, the students and the curriculum. Folks, save your money for private schools and get involved with your public schools! Parents make the difference.
