Quesa D Ya’s is a very creative concept. The quesadillas are substantial and as reasonably priced as pizza. The delivery times are accurate – and sometimes less than Domino’s (a 2 mile radius around the restaurant’s Greenville Avenue location, including the SMU campus.) And, I like the restaurant’s “help the community policy” – what they call Discount4Deeds – a percentage off your meal if you donate food or something a child would need. The food is given to the North Texas Food Bank and the child items are given to Jonathan’s Place which helps abused and neglected children.
I ordered their best-seller – the Smoky Mountain with barbecued chicken, rice, bacon, ham, sautéed onions and (of course) cheese. The barbecue sauce was Kansas City style – sweet and tangy. And, I also ordered a Veggie D Ya with rice, black beans, peppers, onions, mushrooms zucchini, cilantro, pico de gallo and cheese. It was a bit mild for my taste. But, since the food is really meant for either delivery or take out, your spice rack and refrigerator condiments can add the kick you’re looking for.
But, the item that really keeps the customers coming back is the queso – the quesa, in this case. Quesa D Ya’s queso is a delightfully thick and creamy with chunks of tomatoes and peppers.
Try Quesa D Ya’s – the pizza alternative your children will love.
HelloDallas tip: Put Quesa D Ya’s on your calendar for Tuesdays – the delicious queso is free with a purchase of a quesadilla or burrito.
